Overview

BDO Capital Consultants Sdn Bhd is licensed by the Securities Commission to advise on Corporate Finance and also to act as an Independent Advisor for take-over situations and related party transaction. We are also an Approved Advisor for Bursa Malaysia’s LEAP Market.

We have provided numerous and varied type of Corporate Finance services which include valuation, IPO advisory, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring services, audit support services such as purchase price allocation and impairment assessment and acting as Independent Adviser. We have acted as Financial Adviser for IPOs on Bursa Malaysia.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in assignments on the valuation of businesses and intangible assets.
  • Assist on IPO engagements.
  • Support in the conduct of company and market research.
  • Contribute in the drafting of corporate regulatory documents and circulars.
  • Assist in the preparation of job proposals and presentation slides.
  • Ensure assignments are executed expeditiously and within dateline.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators, and other professionals to ensure assignment timelines are met.

 

 

Education and professional skills/ knowledge

Experience & Education:

  • A recognised degree in Finance, Accounting or in any major business disciplines and/or any Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • At least 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the field of audit, corporate advisory or investment banking.
  • Knowledge and experience related to valuation is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in procedures and processes used in Corporate Finance is preferred.
  • Familiar with guidelines, rules and listing requirements of Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia is preferred.

 

 

Other skills:

  • Possess a client service mindset, proven leadership skills as well as a strong appreciation of business issues.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Working experience with the Bloomberg software is preferred.
