Audrey Chan started her career in 1987 with KPMG Malaysia and was seconded to KPMG London for 18 months where she specialised in consumer and industrial markets. She was also the head of one of the audit departments at KPMG Malaysia, and was responsible for managing a group of approximately 70 professional staff including her fellow managers.
Prior to joining BDO Malaysia in July 2008, Audrey was attached to PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia for over two years where she was a Senior Manager in the audit division. She was also involved in the audit technical group where her responsibilities included providing technical advice and training to the audit practice.
Audrey manages a portfolio of listed and non-listed statutory audit clients in Malaysia. She is also involved in special assignments, which comprises preparation of accountant’s report, review of prospective financial information and proforma financial information for submission to the relevant authorities for IPOs, bonds issues and other corporate exercises.
She has extensive experience in the audits of various industries which include plantation, oil & gas, manufacturing, automotive, industrial products, consumer markets, building and construction, property development, hotel, property management, trading, retail, information technology and investment holding companies.
Audrey is a member of the Accounting and Auditing Technical Committee (AATC) and a co-opted member of Financial Statements Review Committee (FSRC) of MICPA. She is also a member of the Public Practice Committee (PPC) of MIA.
